1. Overview
The short version of our privacy approachThe bottom line: TextTools is a client-side application. Every tool — text compare, word counter, JSON formatter, QR generator, and all others — processes your data entirely within your web browser. We do not transmit, store, or analyse your text input on any server. Separately, this website displays advertisements served by Google AdSense, which may use cookies as described in this policy.
This Privacy Policy describes how TextTools("we", "our", or "us") handles information when you visit www.freetextandtools.com and use our browser-based utilities. By using TextTools, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
We have written this policy in plain language on purpose. If anything is unclear, please reach out at prem60866@gmail.com and we will clarify it promptly.
2. Data we collect
What information reaches our systemsWe distinguish between data processed locally in your browser (which we never see), anonymous site metadata, and data collected by advertising partners such as Google when ads are shown.

3. How our tools work
Client-side processing explained4. Advertising (Google AdSense)
How ads work on this site — required disclosureGoogle AdSense: TextToolsuses Google AdSense to display advertisements. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites.
Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to your users based on their visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet. This may include personalized (interest-based) advertising.
Advertising cookies such as the DoubleClick cookie may be used to enable and optimize ads, including to show ads based on previous visits to this site.
For more detail on how Google uses information from sites that use its services, see: How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
Your advertising choices:
- Opt out of personalized advertising from Google: Google Ads Settings
- Opt out of interest-based advertising from participating companies: aboutads.info/choices or the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out
- European users may also visit Your Online Choices
Opting out of personalized ads does not mean you will see no ads; you may still see generic or contextual ads. You can also clear cookies in your browser settings at any time.
5. Cookies & local storage
What is stored in your browserWe and our partners use the following browser storage:
- Preference storage (localStorage)— we may store your last-used settings (e.g. theme preference, last selected barcode format) and cookie-consent choice in your browser's localStorage. Preference data never leaves your device as part of tool processing.
- Analytics — we may use privacy-focused analytics that count page views. Depending on the provider, this may use a cookie or a cookieless approach.
- Advertising cookies (Google AdSense) — Google and its partners may set cookies (including advertising / DoubleClick cookies) to serve and measure ads, and to personalize ads where allowed. See §4 for opt-out links.
You can clear all TextToolsdata at any time by clearing your browser's cookies and localStorage for this domain. This resets preferences and consent choices but does not affect any processed text (since we never stored it on our servers).
